Built by engineers. For engineers.

ATL Medical is a medical products know-how company—dedicated to enabling customer success through deep expertise in energy delivery, catheter systems, interconnect, and camera-based imaging devices. From Design & Development through long-term quality manufacturing, we work alongside your team every step of the way.

Manufacturing for Life.™

Who we are

A strategic medical device CDMO.

ATL Medical is an advanced-energy medical device partner that helps leading OEMs design, develop, launch, and manufacture complex medical products where engineering depth, quality discipline, and scalable production must work together. We're more than an engineering partner and more than a contract manufacturer—we operate as a strategic medical CDMO, bringing advanced-energy expertise, interconnect know-how, development support, manufacturing discipline, and quality-system execution together in one connected model. The result is a difficult-to-replicate combination of miniaturization expertise and vertically integrated engineering and manufacturing.

Our strongest customer relationships begin early enough for ATL to help shape manufacturability, risk, cost, quality, and scale—while honoring the OEM's product vision, clinical strategy, and market opportunity.

Our mission

To partner with the world's leading medical device companies and accelerate the development and manufacturing of innovative medical devices.

Our vision

To continually protect and improve lives by inspiring innovation and solutions that drive positive change in healthcare, delivering the highest standards for quality, safety, and patient outcomes.

"We work with our customers as if the products we support are our own, because product performance, patient impact, and quality outcomes reflect directly on ATL."

"We combine advanced energy, electronics, interconnect, complex catheter, imaging, automation, and global manufacturing expertise in ways that are difficult for single-capability suppliers to replicate."

"We are intentionally focused. ATL Medical is not built to pursue every medical device opportunity—we focus on programs where our capabilities, engagement model, and quality system create differentiated value."

Our Story

Where we came from. Where we are now.

ATL Medical was founded in 1993 by engineer Brad Brown, whose persistence in solving difficult technical challenges continues to shape the company today. ATL Medical began as an interconnect company, developing cable- and connector-based solutions for a range of emerging technologies—including an early program to build the PalmPilot HotSync cradle, which helped establish ATL's reputation for practical engineering, fast execution, and reliable interconnect design.

Medical device manufacturing wasn't the original focus. As handheld devices evolved and engineers who'd relied on ATL's electrical engineering and interconnect expertise moved into medical device roles, those relationships became the bridge into healthcare. In the mid-2000s, ATL deliberately shifted its focus to the medical device market, including registering its first site with the FDA.

For more than thirty years, ATL has built an advanced-energy, electronics, and interconnect heritage that now serves as a knowledge-based differentiator, not simply a manufacturing capability. The 2023 acquisition of Gyrus Medical further strengthened that advanced-energy depth, and the 2024 acquisition of complex catheter specialist MDCM Solutions added catheter extrusion, braiding, and reflow capability in Maple Grove, Minnesota. This reflects our commitment behind our tagline, Manufacturing for Life™: supporting each device from first concept through long-term production.
