PREVOYANCE® Medical Camera System

PREVOYANCE® Medical Camera System

A plug-and-play camera assembly designed exclusively for medical applications: a configurable starting point for your next-generation camera-based device.
A complete medical imaging system, completely designed and manufactured by ATL Technology. A complete medical imaging system, completely designed and manufactured by ATL Technology.
Overview

Start your camera-based device from a working camera.

Most camera-based device programs have to solve the camera assembly before they can solve the device: tip geometry, sensor connectivity, illumination, and an interconnect that survives the shaft and handle. PREVOYANCE® gives OEM teams a ready-to-use starting point they can take out of the box, connect, and use. From there, ATL Medical engineers and builds the rest of the device around it.

Configuration

Configure it for your device.

Micro-molded tip

Glass-filled liquid crystal polymer (LCP), the preferred material for the tip's wall thickness.

Connectivity

Customizable-length flex PCBA, rigid PCBA, or direct wire-to-sensor attachment. About 5 mm of total flex length for articulating devices.

Illumination

LED or fiber illumination.

Wire

44 AWG micro-coax, with 3 to 5 coax strands based on product requirements.

Interconnect

5x1 flat, pigtail with no connector, Micro HDMI, or industry-standard-compatible circular locking connectors.

Configurations

PREVOYANCE® and Chip-on-Tip® configurations, with or without LED.

Beyond the camera

The device around it, engineered and built in-house.

PREVOYANCE® is the starting point, not the limit. ATL Medical engineers the surrounding device as one system: tip and camera integration, the articulating distal end, the shaft, handle ergonomics, PCBA, cable construction, and connector and receptacle interconnects.

Related offering

Video processing and control, available alongside PREVOYANCE®.

As a related offering, ATL Medical provides video processing, camera control, and image signal processing capabilities that can be paired with PREVOYANCE®. They are separate from the camera assembly and are not included by default. Options include product-specific configurations for up to three products and an on-screen logo.

Capture & media

Video recording and still-image capture, including stills while recording; a time-stamped picture gallery; and USB storage, with no in-product storage.

Image control

90-degree on-screen rotation, native and full-screen modes, light adjustment and automatic adjustment for OVT sensors, color correction, LED brightness, light targeting, edge brightness, sharpness, and automatic gain control.

Display & connectivity

Customizable GUI with round, square, or hexagonal display shapes; HDMI, DVI, and other outputs; global electrical connectivity; an external cable interface; and 10-inch or 13-inch touchscreen or no-monitor preset-box options.
