IEEPA Tariff Refunds: ATL Customer Communication

IEEPA Tariff Refunds: ATL Customer Communication

ATL Technology is committed to returning any tariff refunds received through ATL back to our customers. Following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling related to tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), this page provides context on the refund process, what it may mean for customer programs, and how ATL is approaching this evolving situation.

Dear Valued ATL Customer,

ATL’s intent is to return every tariff dollar our customers paid through ATL—and that was subsequently refunded to ATL—back to our customers.

As you may be aware, in February 2026, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that certain tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) were unlawful. Following this ruling, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) was directed to establish a formal process to refund eligible tariffs previously paid by importers of record.

CBP has since launched the Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries (CAPE) portal, which serves as the mechanism for submitting qualifying refund claims. This process is being implemented in phases and remains subject to additional regulatory guidance, government validation, and administrative review.

What This Means for ATL and Our Customers

ATL has evaluated the ruling and the related refund process and is actively taking appropriate steps to determine whether tariffs previously paid in connection with customer programs are eligible for refund. As with many manufacturers, the ultimate outcome—including eligibility, timing, and refund amounts—is dependent on government review and approval and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

Notwithstanding these uncertainties, ATL’s position is clear:

  • Ongoing expectations: Valid tariffs assessed in accordance with existing government policy will continue to be billed by ATL and are expected to be paid in the ordinary course.
  • Customer-first intent: Any tariff refunds received by ATL will be returned to our customers.
  • Transparency: We will communicate openly as material clarity is provided through CBP and the courts.
  • Discipline and fairness: Refunds, if received, will be evaluated and allocated consistent with applicable contracts, payables treatment, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuity of partnership: Our ongoing focus remains operational excellence, cost discipline, and uninterrupted support of your programs, independent of near-term policy developments.

Next Steps

At this time, no customer action is required. Should customer‑specific considerations arise or additional information become available that affects program economics, ATL will engage directly and proactively.

We appreciate your continued partnership and trust as this process evolves.

Sincerely,
ATL Technology
